Sairee Cottage Diving is often described as the Goldilocks of dive resorts – not too big and not too small, but just right. Conveniently located in the middle of Sairee Beach, the island’s main area, guests enjoy top quality facilities, experienced and welcoming staff, and a relaxed, friendly vibe.

The resort and beachfront restaurant are both built in keeping with traditional Thai buildings, with a variety of wooden and concrete bungalows set in shaded, leafy surroundings. Even the classrooms have been designed with a pleasing aesthetic, as upscale tree-houses that overlook the lagoon shaped pool.

After diving, most guests gravitate to the pool bar, where you can enjoy a happy hour sun-downer and watch the sun dip into the ocean as you chat about the day’s dives.

As for the dive experience itself, it’s a pleasure to dive with Bauer certified tanks. Sairee Cottage Diving is the only dive centre on Koh Tao to use a compressor which guarantees you are breathing 100% clean air, with no impurities. It’s wonderful being able to simply walk out of the resort and begin the dive trip from the beach, rather than getting into a taxi and heading to a busy port.

The equipment is all new and expertly maintained by their in-house technician, whilst the boat is spacious, comfortable and well laid out. There’s even music, and cushions to laze on in your surface interval, with plenty of shade and a sun-deck for those who want to top up their tan.
