Kona Underwater Shootout Scheduled for May 24-27, 2019
The fourth annual Kona Underwater Shootout is set to take place May 24-27, 2019 in Kona, Hawaii.
Photographers and videographers of all skill levels are invited to participate in this exciting weekend-long contest. You must be in Kona, Hawaii, during the weekend of the contest to participate and be eligible to win prizes. In 2018, the grand prize winner walked away with a weeklong trip to Paradise Taveuni in Fiji.

Entry to the contest is $50 USD, and part of the proceeds go toward the nonprofit Malama Kai Foundation. Sign up to participate.
The contest weekend features an opening ceremony to take place at 6pm on May 24, 2019, afterparty and awards ceremony, as well as specific photo and video workshops you can sign up for at an additional cost.
Kona Honu Divers has been integral in getting this photo contest up and running after the Kona Classic Shootout ended in 2007 and Kona went several years without hosting a professional photo contest. Visit their website for more information and to sign up for the event.
