Tour Cancun's MUSA Underwater Museum With This Stunning Video

Artificial reefs from cars to massive ships help foster marine-life growth and take pressure off coral reefs around the globe. The Museo Subacuatico de Arte off the coast of Cancun, Mexico, assists in conservation and promotes self reflection.

The collection of more than 500 life-sized sculptures were designed to promote coral growth – many of the sculptures were designed to represent man's often-destructive relationship with the aquatic world. Take a tour of the attraction with the video above.

Jason deCaires Taylor – the sculpture responsible for the works of art off Cancun and other sites around the world – loves the feel of MUSA once the sun sets.

"I really like night dives. You focus on small patches where your torch shines, as opposed to trying to take in the whole lot," said deCaires Taylor in a Sport Diver interview from earlier this year. "Off Cancun, during a full moon, I turned off my torch and saw silhouettes of the figures. It was like walking through a forest at night. I could just make out the shapes — it was otherworldly."
