Aqua Lung Titan

Aqua Lung Titan Scuba Regulator

$399 | aqualung.com

Jon Whittle

The Titan boasts powerful performance in a comfortable, budget-conscious package. It provides excellent work of breathing and is a dry, easy breather in all conditions with a reassuringly smooth and quiet operation. The soft polyurethane cover on the lightweight second stage can be removed easily without tools and gives the purge just the right amount of stiffness. The Venturi control is noticeably effective, and is even capable of stopping a free-flow while the reg is still face up. The compact first stage has two HP and four LP ports in a T-shaped arrangement.

Cressi T10-SC Cromo Compact Pro

Cressi t10 compact scuba regulator

$449.95 | cressi.com

Jon Whittle

This regulator pairs the capable T-10 first stage with a tiny, featherweight second stage for a reg that is reliable and incredibly comfortable. This easy breather provides a very dry operation even in face-up and head-down positions, and a good work of breathing at recreational depths and beyond. The teeny-tiny second stage is light and comfortable in the mouth thanks to its compact design and its lightweight, plastic construction. The second stage has a top-mounted Venturi switch. The balanced diaphragm first stage features two HP and four LP ports.

Seac DX200

Seac DX200 scuba regulator

$519 | seacsub.com

Jon Whittle

You shouldn’t always judge a book by its cover, but in this case the classy sand-blasted chrome finish on DX200 suits its smooth, reliable breathing performance perfectly. Even at depths beyond recreational depths and at various breathing rates, it consistently delivers a low work of breathing. Divers can further fine tune gas delivery using the ergonomic and effective breathing adjustment. The second stage also features a Venturi switch to prevent free-flows. The first stage has two HP ports and four LP ports are angled for more efficient hose routing.
