Take a peek at these underwater peepers.

Tusa Freedom Tri-Quest

This mask retails for $89. | tusa.com.

Bill Doster

The Tri-Quest’s large, panoramic window makes its incredible field of view readily apparent. The supple skirt is more subtle, but no less impressive. Made of varying thicknesses of silicone, it gently hugs your face to create a soft, reliable seal thanks to dimples on the forehead and cheeks that increase flexibility and ridges near the cheeks that reinforce the fit under pressure. Despite the mask’s beefy proportions, the frame is unobtrusive. Despite its large proportions, the crystal-clear view and comfortable design make it easy to forget you’re even wearing a mask.

Beuchat scuba diving mask

Beuchat MaxLux S

This mask retails for $57.82. | beuchat-diving.com

Jon Whittle

This frameless, low-volume mask is wrapped in a hypoallergenic silicone that is available in a rainbow of different colors. The soft, flexible skirt is baby-bottom-smooth and provides a remarkably dry seal. The MaxLux’s field of view is a bit narrow, but the mask’s compact design makes it good for travel or as a backup mask. The latches on the mask strap can be tricky to work, especially while wearing thick gloves, but overall this mask delivers a high degree of comfort and performance at an attractive price point.

Scubapro scuba diving mask

Scubapro Zoom EVO

This mask retails for $79. | scubapro.com.

Bill Doster

The Zoom EVO touts a dry, comfortable fit with a small volume that makes it easy to clear and equalize. The Zoom does all the things you want out of a dependable mask very well, but it doesn’t stop there. It also features one of the quickest, simplest no-tools lens swaps around and offers a huge range of corrective lenses in .5 diopter increments from -1.5 to -8.0 and from +1.5 to +4.0, and bi-focal lenses from +1.0 to +3.0. For divers tired of seeing blurry fish, the Zoom EVO is a sight for sore eyes.
